{"id":274,"date":"2008-10-28T13:15:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-28T20:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rhinoblues.com\/thoughts-wp\/?p=274"},"modified":"2011-09-03T10:54:07","modified_gmt":"2011-09-03T17:54:07","slug":"sketch-43","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rhinoblues.com\/thoughts\/2008\/10\/sketch-43\/","title":{"rendered":"Sketch 43"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did I mention <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhinoblues.com\/thoughts\/2008\/10\/i-voted-how-about-you\/\">I voted<\/a>?&nbsp; Have you?&nbsp; Less than a week to go!!!<\/p>\n<p>I took a friend to a concert at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laphil.com\/about\/wdch_overview.cfm\">Walt Disney Concert Hall<\/a> on Saturday.&nbsp; It was the first show for both of us at the Disney Hall.&nbsp; The concert was part of the Songbook Series put on by the LA Phil.&nbsp; The theme of this concert was &#8220;Country&#8221; and featured Vince Gill.&nbsp; It was intimate affair (despite the grandiose of the hall itself), with Vince front and center with only a rhythm section trio backing him up.&nbsp; In between songs, Vince related stories about where the songs came from, and in the second half of the show, invited the audience to shout out requests.&nbsp; All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable show.&nbsp; I&#8217;ll leave the rest of the details to the <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/music_blog\/2008\/10\/vince-gill-sing.html\">LA Times review<\/a>, if you are more curious.
